Legal

Terms & Conditions.

Last updated October 2026. These terms apply to every project scoped and proposed by Builidea.

1. Scope of work

Each project is defined by the proposal you’ve accepted — the problem summary, proposed solution, what’s included, and the package you selected. Work outside that scope (a new feature, a different platform, a change in direction) is handled as a separate, additional quote, agreed in writing before any extra work begins.

2. Payment terms

  • 25% of the total project cost is due at the time of accepting the proposal — payable before any work begins.
  • The remaining balance is due according to the payment milestones stated in your specific proposal (typically tied to delivery stages).
  • Work may pause if a payment milestone is missed.

3. Refund policy

If you change your mind after accepting a proposal and paying the advance, you can request a full refund of the advance payment within 7 days of accepting the proposal. Refund requests can be sent by replying to any email from Builidea, or via the chat on your proposal page.

After 7 days from acceptance, the advance payment is non-refundable, as it reflects time and resources already committed to your project. Amounts paid against completed milestones beyond the advance are non-refundable once that milestone’s work has been delivered.

4. Ownership & intellectual property

Ownership of the custom work built for your project transfers to you upon full and final payment. Until then, Builidea retains ownership. Builidea may retain the right to reuse general, non-confidential techniques, patterns, and tooling developed during the project in future work for other clients — but not your specific business logic, data, or branded assets.

5. Third-party costs

Where a project depends on third-party services (cloud hosting, telephony, AI/voice providers, or similar), those running costs are billed directly to you by the provider, not by Builidea, and are separate from the one-time build fee. These are laid out explicitly in the “Running Costs After Launch” section of your proposal.

6. Timelines

Timelines given in a proposal are estimates based on the scope agreed at the time. Delays caused by late feedback, late delivery of assets (voice samples, content, access credentials), or scope changes requested mid-project will extend the timeline accordingly.

7. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential business information shared during the project private, and not to disclose it to third parties without consent, except as required by law.

8. Accepting a proposal

Accepting a proposal on its dedicated page, with the terms checkbox checked, is treated as your agreement to these terms and to the specific scope, timeline, and pricing stated in that proposal.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

10. Questions

If anything here is unclear, ask before accepting — every proposal has a comment feature and a chat assistant for exactly this.
